Sony Closes Guerrilla Cambridge – Load the video game

Guerrilla Cambridge became a online game developer and studio that has been founded by Sony in 1977, the studio had a hand in creating games like MediEvil and Little Big Planet. Recently, it had been announced that Sony has closed the organization. A spokeswoman for Sony revealed that around 50 people were being employed within the studio.

The statement released by Sony has been provided below.

“Whilst we believe that this decision will mean that we risk losing high calibre staff, by specializing in other studios with exciting new projects in development… we presume we are in a stronger position moving forward and capable to supply the best possible content of the highest quality for our players.
This decision mustn’t take anything outside the incredible games and services that Guerrilla Cambridge has delivered.”

Previously, Sony had also closed down studios for instance their Evolution Studio and Studio Liverpool. However, Sony has additionally opened a studio in Manchester, and continuously operate studios within london.

The last game Guerrilla Cambridge released was Rigs: Mechanized Combat League, a match suitable for Playstation’s virtual reality headset.
