Rooster Teeth’s Day 5 (episode 2) review: It’s all in mind – Load the video game

If?that you were motivated to consider?bull crap which involves eliminate the whole world, it’s more likely that you may be envisioning an issue that involves all types of environmental?hazards and tribal human survivors fighting over everything. From games like Fallout 4 and?Dead Rising to movies like Mad Max, most doomsday?stories?center around how a character overcomes?said obstacles to fulfill their (usually) noble goals. Typically, the mental strain to get in a situation where that is applicable to start with needs a back seat, mostly because it’s far more fun to check out a personality visit shooting everything.

But unlike such aforementioned stories, your second episode of Rooster Teeth’s Day 5 series focuses almost entirely upon the effects how the end of the planet could possibly have over a person’s mind. There aren’t any car chases or dramatic close calls on this episode of Day 5, mostly much more episode revolves around exploring the side effects?of?combining?considerably?of medicine with?severe lack of sleep and merely a touch of survivor’s guilt.

POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD

The end of humanity is likely to be upon us, but a minimum of the floors are nice and clean

Interestingly enough, the other episode of Day 5 focuses mostly on Jake. Regardless if?you cherish him or hate him, you’ll find out considerably about him with the exceptional family on this episode, another thing than some of the other main characters there is met until now. Having said that, even as it may very well be fascinating?to see?Jake?break down and face his past, aspects of his hallucinations and backstory do seem rather predictable, if not outright generic.

Fortunately, the setting of episode two involves what might be?just about the most interesting and creative places which any post-apocalyptic story has visited thus far. Of course, you’ve probably seen your great amount of bombed out buildings and derelict hospitals in loads of other movies and whatnot, but where else should you visit a police station that’s been overrun by drug-fueled ravers? Except for like a fairly creative strategy to advance the plot, this narrative decision will give you a peek at how a number of the less stable survivors have made a decision to spend their last waking hours.

For those that is probably not a big fan of Jake, or those who are keen on how emergency services had to endure everyone dying off in the same exact time, there’s also a brief yet intriguing scene which offers some advice about how Ally and the rest of the staff at her hospital were required to deal with the sudden influx of dead people. It may not be as prominent as Jake’s mental breakdown, but it surely has a somewhat thought provoking look at the panic that set within the general population as soon as they realized what was happening.

He might slept for five days, but he’ll be damned if he’s going let his unwanted facial hair get rid of control

POTENTIAL SPOILERS END HERE

Even though?the next episode of Rooster Teeth’s Day 5 series can be a bit on the slow side, it certainly doesn’t lack in the character development category. You may not see any on the exciting firefights or action scenes?which can be an integral a part of?a number of Rooster Teeth’s other flagship web series like?Red Vs. Blue or RWBY, but?that is definitely completely fine because?Day 5 is not very more advanced than shows?like Bet on Thrones for the reason that the major conflict is used to help expand knowing about it with the characters and fears and flaws (particularly in this episode).
